Open ChatGPT settings.
Go to Apps & Connectors.
Enable Developer Mode in advanced settings if required for your account.
Create a custom app/connector.
Use the name Gene Inspector Pro and paste this connection link: https://mcp.gene-inspector.pro/mcp
Choose sign-in authentication when prompted, then sign in to Gene Inspector Pro and approve access.
If ChatGPT asks before each tool use, allow Gene Inspector Pro tools by default to avoid repeated prompts.

Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces may require an admin to enable custom MCP connectors.

Privacy and Access

Access is read-only.
The connection uses your Gene Inspector Pro account and asks for your approval.
Sessions expire after seven idle days and renew while actively used.
Choosing Always allow only removes repeated prompts in your AI app; access remains read-only.
You can disconnect Gene Inspector Pro from your AI app settings.
